July Fourth Flowers for Your Party

July Fourth Flowers

One of the biggest celebrations of the summer season is July 4th, a time when the entire country comes together to celebrate the unique freedoms in our nation. Whether you are hosting the party or headed to someone else’s gathering, the addition of patriotic flowers is a great way to set the mood. July Fourth flowers can be comprised of any blooms which exhibit the red, white and blue – and the possibilities for gorgeous bouquets are many! Come to Billy Heroman’s Flowers for great ideas, or shop our collection here.

July Fourth Flowers

Sweet Liberty is an artistic arrangement of red roses, blue and white hydrangea, and white snapdragons. The spirit of the day is further punctuated by a royal blue vase, and if you choose, an American flag.

Did You Know? Fireworks were first used to celebrate the 4th of July in 1777. They were ignited over Philadelphia and the celebration also included bonfires and bells, likely inspired by John Adam’s proclamation regarding the holiday. “It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shews, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires and illuminations from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more.”

American Dream, showcased below, features red roses, white daisies, and beautiful blue delphinium with patriotic sheer ribbons.

Celebrating July Fouth in Baton Rouge: The USS KIDD once again hosts its annual 4th of July celebration in the downtown Baton Rouge area. The evening culminates with WBRZ’s Fireworks on the Mississippi River which is attended by up to 100,000 people.

July Fourth Flowers are a beautiful way to add patriotic spirit to any gathering – so as you plan your picnics and backyard barbecues, don’t forget to call Billy Heroman’s Flowers & Gifts! We love participating in all of Baton Rouge’s special celebrations all year-round – how can we help you?
